The Art of Estimating
After decades of working with some of the most successful remodelers in the business, we have learned that unless your estimate is within a few percentage points there is very little that production can do to make up the difference, so an accurate estimate is CRITICAL to your success.
Whether you are an owner that handles the estimates or the estimator for a company, you will find a gold mine of information in this Masterclass, led by Tim Faller.
This two-day, intensive class will be an interactive experience for the person responsible for estimating at your business. The seminar portion will cover the purpose of estimating, the challenges we face, and why accurate estimating can be so difficult.
You will hear about the importance of “accurate discovery,” so that all aspects of the job are covered, as well as learning practical “how-to’s” for creating a strong, solid estimate.
The team from Forward Design Build Remodel in Ann Arbor, MI and the estimator from Case Architects & Remodelers in Bethesda, MD will also be sharing how they are able to create estimates that create profit.
In addition, you will learn about the pitfalls of estimating allowances, change orders, and Time & Materials (T&M) work. Included in this class will be a high-level look at some of the estimating software that is currently available.
The interactive sections will get the class participants sharing their secrets of what works for them. These sessions are focused on the discovery phase and actual estimating.
The “coup de grace” will be our world-famous Mastermind experience, where each participant gets to place their topic in front of their peers and get helpful feedback.
